Registered Nurse, International Board Certified Lactation Consultant
Lynne has been a registered nurse since 1976 and an IBCLC since 1998.
After beginning her career in adult ICU, Lynne married and quickly had four
children, all of whom she breastfed for 13 months. Following the
children's birth, Lynne found nursing in Labor Hall, Post Partum and Newborn
Nursery very fulfilling for several years. She then spent 10 years
in a busy OB/GYN practice as both a nurse and childbirth educator.
Opening her private practice as a lactation consultant in 2000 has allowed
Lynne to realize a dream she has of helping today's young women become
successful nursing mothers'. Lynne has decided after 4 years in an
office to respond to the need for lactation home visits and pump delivery.
Lynne has taught hundreds of classes for expectant parents in both childbirth
and breastfeeding. Bluegrass Lactation Consulting's mission is:
